Einleitung

The experienced senior VMware engineer will join our dynamic team. The Engineer is a key contributor to design, implement, and manage our VMware virtualization landscape. Our VMware landscape hosts many application to support our industrial activity spread over 25 locations mainly in EMEA & APAC. The senior VMware System Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring the stability, security, and scalability of our virtualized environment and provide expertise to other IT staff. The job also includes resolution of incidents in a timely and accurate way.

Ihre Aufgaben in unserem Unternehmen:

Design, implement, and manage the VMware vSphere infrastructure including ESXi hosts, vCenter Server, and virtual networking components.
Architect and deploy member servers to meet business requirements while ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability.
Perform capacity planning, resource optimization, and performance tuning for VMware environments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate VMware solutions with other infrastructure components such as storage, networking, and backup systems.
Monitor VMware infrastructure health, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis.
Implement and maintain VMware disaster recovery solutions
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other IT colleagues in the different locations
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to VMware virtualization.

Unsere Anforderungen an Sie:

Master/Bachelor degree in Information Technology or related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing VMware vSphere environments.
Strong knowledge of virtualization concepts, VMware architecture, and best practices.
In depth expertise in VMware technologies including ESXi, vCenter Server.
VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certification is appreciated
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex VMware issues.
Ability to work well autonomously and within a multi-functional team
Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization
Self-motivated with attention for deadlines
Verbal and written communication skills in English and Dutch. Any other language is an asset.
