Your Tasks:
Job description
- Follow new trends and keep updated on battery package technologies (eg. cell pads, holding pads,…) in order to be able to understand the demands on every component within and around the battery pack.
- Is recognized internally and externally (at customer) as a battery package expert, is able to go into dialogue with battery package experts at OEM.
- Fully understand the customer needs for batteries for EV and able to translate these needs into clear project objectives; in this respect a strong interaction with product management and sales is indispensable.
- Have a hands-on application and process experience in the field of battery package applications in order to be able to industrialize the developed concepts.
- Have a general good knowledge of polymer materials: polyurethane and non-polyurethane materials.
- Provide assistance and advice in the chemical and physical testing of materials for battery packages and/or in the development of enhanced new test methodologies.
- Work together with the chemical R&D team to develop/adapt PU materials as a function of the needs for battery applications.
- Manage projects effectively as a project leader according to implemented project management tools available in R&D, ensuring timely completion and adherence to project objectives
Your Profile
- You have proven experience with battery package applications for electric vehicles.
- You hold a master's degree in Materials Engineering or a related field.
- Knowledge of acoustics is a plus.
- You have an analytical mindset with a strong understanding of technological principles and materials relevant to battery technologies.
- You are a good networker.
- You demonstrate an R&D mindset with a hands-on approach.
- You adhere to internal procedures, ensuring accuracy and reliability of results.
- You are fluent in English, Dutch is an asset.
- You are able to implement the internal practices and procedures to ensure R&D technicians understand and execute tasks in a safe, efficient and effective way.
