The Account Manager is responsible for developing profitable sales growth within assigned customers and markets. The role builds long-term strategic relationships, identifies new business opportunities, leads commercial negotiations, and ensures Carpenter is positioned as a preferred business partner. The Account Manager works closely with internal teams to ensure sustainable growth, customer satisfaction, and profitability. Succes is driven by customer interaction, and the Account Manager is expected to spend most of the time (average 3-5 travel days depending on local needs) visiting customers and prospects, building relationships and identifying opportunities within scope.

Your tasks in our company:

Sales Management

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within existing and new accounts
  • Increase share of wallet across strategic customers and hunt for new customers
  • Build and execute account growth plans in corporation with Sales Manager
  • Driving customer profitability and margin improvement
  • Follow strategic direction outlined by Carpenter and local sales management to increase market share
  • UnAssiDetermine sales price and quotation, in line with the company’s terms, conditions, and profit marginsst the Sales Manager and work closely with Customer Service DepartmentMake suggestions about sales price and quotation to the supervisor who must approve it.derstand customer strategies, market trends and competitive activity
  • Translate customer needs into commercial opportunities

Marketing

  • Participate in exhibitions and trade fairs, and if necessary, organize Carpenter’s appearance
  • Conduct customer survey to determine customer satisfaction and needs
  • Participates in the creation and drafting of sales support documents (e.g. product sheets)

Communication

  • Act as the primary commercial interface between the customer and Carpenter, ensuring effective coordination of internal resources to deliver customer commitments.
  • Uniform utilization of production capacities / in coordination with planning
  • Inform the Sales Manager of all important commercial topics

Sales Administration

  • Ensure the billing control, the on-time payment of invoices, and deal with overdue
  • Reports and transmits quality non-conformities and participates in their resolution
  • Ensure proper completion of meeting reports in SalesForce to enhance cross communication and team involvement
  • Provide a weekly sales activity report and ensure all commercial data is up to date in SAP/SalesForce

Qualifications and Skills

 

  • Proven experience in a B2B sales or account management role, preferably within manufacturing, technical products, or industrial solutions.
  • Strong commercial drive with a genuine hunter mentality; energized by prospecting, generating leads, winning new business, and expanding market share
  • Strong relationship-building and customer management skills.
  • Ability to understand technical customer requirements and translate them into commercial opportunities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Results-oriented with a proactive approach to business development.
  • Ability to work effectively across functions and collaborate with technical, manufacturing, and project teams.
